These images are the result of exploring ways to combine my photographs with my art pieces. I don’t plan anything, or make sketches. I start with a super high contrast image and go from there, trial and error, relying on subjective intuition. Serendipitous occurrences are frequent, which I value highly. I love how the vivid color inks run and bleed on the damp paper towels, not unlike the Japanese aesthetic, Wabi-Sabi, defined as the beauty of things “imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete.
